Recontextualizing Politics of Noun Phrases in the New York Times Editorial

چکیده
This research paper is an effort to recontextualize the politics of noun phrases on New York Times editorial published January 7th, 2016 entitled “North Korea Flexes Its Nuclear Muscle”. It examines how recontextualization these can contribute shaping public discourse about political events and ideas. Through a critical analysis, Norman Fairclough’s concept Theo Van Leeuwan’s function language, study demonstrates uses mobilize support for certain views while demonizing opposing ones. To phrases, deem different ideologies movements may use specific language reinforce their beliefs goals. By recontextualizing produces particular agenda that likely influence reader’s opinions attitudes towards issues.
